Weekly Update February 10

Random Acts of Kindness Week: February 13 - 17, LHS Acts-of-Kindness Club will host a variety of up lifting activities this coming week to spread kindness throughout the school community.

Quarter 2 Report Cards: were distributed to students today during advisory periods. Please contact your students' teachers, or school counselor with any questions.

Friday Fun Day: hosted by the Class of 2025 for students in grades 4, 5 & 6 will be held on Friday, February 17 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at LHS. Permission forms will be distributed through LIS and the cost is $20.00 for an afternoon of games, fun and snacks will be provided.

Internet Safety Presentation: Litchfield Prevention Council will be sponsoring three grade-level appropriate presentations on Tuesday, February 21 across grades 5 -12 on the topic of internet safety. Mr. Scott Driscoll, from Internet Safety Concepts, will provide our students with important information on how to stay safe online. Mr. Driscoll will host a webinar for parents/guardians on Tuesday evening, February 21 at 7:00 p.m. This interactive presentation will provide helpful tips to support your child’s online safety. The link to this presentation on February 21 will be emailed to parents several times over the next 2 weeks.

Talent in Town: Litchfield Music Parents’ annual fundraiser will be held on Saturday, February 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the LHS Cafeteria. Talent in Town is a special evening of vocal and instrumental performances by our young musicians. Admission is $10 for adults, and $5.00 for students and seniors. $25.00 max per family. The evening will offer light refreshments and drawings for gift baskets! Snow date: Sunday, February 26th.

LPS Student Art Show: invites you to the annual LPS Art Department K-12 exhibition at the Oliver Wolcott Library in Litchfield. Each year, a variety of student work that exemplifies excellence in our department, is on display for the community to view. Student artwork will be on exhibit through Thursday, March 2 at the OWL.

Community Conversations in February: with superintendent Chris Leone, will be held on Tuesday, February 21^st, and Tuesday, February 28^th, 8:00 p.m. Details to follow.
