Relay for Life

On Friday, June 10, from 5:30 to 8:30, Litchfield High School will host a Relay for Life in the fields in front of the school.  Relay is an event that celebrates a community’s effort to support cancer survivors and to honor those whose lives cancer has taken.  Over the past four years, LHS has raised more than $24,000 for this cause, and Friday night will be our celebration of our efforts and of our community.

There will be food, activities, a bouncy house, obstacle course, bungee run, and a dunk tank where you will have the opportunity to try dunking your teachers.  Meraki will bring its food truck, and there will be vendors.

We’ll close the night with a luminaria ceremony featuring two LHS students who will speak about the impact of cancer on their lives.  Event organizers invite everyone in our school to decorate a luminaria to honor a loved one affected by cancer.  We have delivered white bags to advisories, and we can provide more if you contact Ms. Carlson by email: carlsons@lpsct.org
