Dear LMS School Community,
CT Scholastic Art Awards: Congratulations to Colleen Malo (‘24), Jenna Sobek (‘24), and Eleanor Klug (‘26) for their artwork winning at the CT Scholastic Art Awards. Colleen Malo’s acrylic painting, Cavities, won a Silver Key. Jenna Sobek had two winning pieces- a charcoal drawing, Fragile, won a Gold Key, and a photograph, Covered Treasure, won an Honorable Mention. Eleanor Klug’s mixed media piece, Daydreaming, won an Honorable Mention. Take a minute to view their award winning work here, or on the website. LMS Conferences: will be held in person with a scheduled conference time during January 23 -26,2024. Students will be released at 11:00 a.m. on conference days. If you would like to schedule a conference, please sign-up with the link found in the letter emailed to parents earlier this week.
Talent in Town: Litchfield Music Parents will hold their annual Talent in Town fundraiser on Friday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m. in the LHS Cafeteria. This annual fundraiser highlights student talent performances for the school community. Light fare and beverages will be provided and served by Music Parents. Admission is at the door. Snow date is scheduled for Saturday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m.
Auditions for Talent in Town: Auditions are being held in the chorus room the afternoon of Wednesday, January 31st. Interested students need to sign-up for a 10-minute audition time (with Mr. Porri and Mr. Perkins) on the sign up sheet posted on the chorus room door. Come see or email Mr Porri or Mr Perkins if you have any questions.

After School Enrichment: The After-School Enrichment Program registration for the Winter season is open.The Enrichment classes will begin on Monday, February 5th, and will end the week of February 26th. Please note that Monday, February 19th is Presidents’ Day and there will be no classes. The classes missed on Monday will be made up on Monday, March 4th.
