Dear LMS and LHS School Community,
WELCOME BACK! The first and the last week of Litchfield Middle and High School opening was a great success!
Here are a few reminders for upcoming activities.
Back-to-School Photos: will take place on Wednesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 7 for all students. 7th graders will have photos taken on Wednesday, and 8th graders on Thursday. High School students will have photos taken with their English class depending on where it falls in their schedule. Photo Retakes/Make-up date is Friday morning, September 15th.
Activity Fair: The school counseling department will hold an activity fair with all the clubs and advisors on Friday, September 15 during Advisory periods. Students are encouraged to join clubs and activities by meeting with current club members and advisors.
College Fair: will be held this year at Wamogo High School on Thursday, September 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is open to all students and families.
Curriculum Night: an open house on Wednesday, September 27 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. for parents to follow their students' schedule and meet with faculty.
Under the Lights: the annual soccer and field hockey Under the Lights games are right around the corner! Thursday, September 28th - Varsity Field Hockey vs. Wamogo @ 6:30 p.m., Friday, September 29th - Varsity Girls’ Soccer vs. Wamogo at 6:00 p.m. and Varsity Boys Soccer vs. Wamogo at 7:45 p.m. All games will be played at the Plumb Hill Field Complex.
PSAT Test: provides realistic practice for the School Day SAT which all juniors will take in March 2024 and its score can be used to forecast performance on that test. If you would like your student to take the DIGITAL PSAT/NMSQT, please complete the form below and return it to the School Counseling Office, with the test fee, by September 8th in order to reserve a seat. Please download, print, and return the attached form with payment if you would like to be included in PSAT testing. PSAT Junior test registration Money will not be refunded for absence on the day of the test.
Labor Day Weekend: LPS will observe Labor Day on Monday, September 4th. Schools will reopen on Tuesday, September 5th for a full day schedule.
