Star Wars Day - May the Fourth Be With You


May Testing Reminders

Smarter Balanced/Next Generation Science Testing Reminders–

  • Apple/Android Watches or other comparable devices are not allowed in the testing classroom. Students who opt to bring these devices to school on testing days will either need to leave the device in their backpack/locker or hand it to the teacher to hold during testing. 

  • LIS student devices (Chromebooks) must come to school fully charged every day.

  • Students should bring their earbuds/headphones to school on testing days.

  • Students should bring/wear their glasses or corrective lenses during testing.

  • Students should get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast to ensure optimal energy and concentration.


Penny War Success

LIS collected an impressive $1,022.89 for the Relay for Life Penny War!  Congratulations to the 4th grade who collected the most coins for a total of $405.85.  Relay for Life would like to thank everyone for contributing to this amazing cause and would like to invite all students to the Relay for Life event at the high school on June 10 from 5:30-8:30 on the softball field.


PJ Day for St. Jude's

Thank you so much to everyone who wore PJs and/or donated to our fundraiser for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  We were able to collect over $700 so far!  The online donation link will be open through Sunday, May 1 so there is still time to donate! Sincere thanks for your generosity towards such a wonderful cause.
