NWEA/MAP Testing
LIS will administer the Winter NWEA/MAP Testing over the next few weeks. All students in grades 4 through 6 will test in the areas of mathematics and reading between January 19 and February 11. Communication will come from your student's classroom teacher regarding specific testing dates.
A Message from Ms. Cordani:
Hello, Parents/Guardians of a Grade 6 Student,
A friendly reminder: A complete physical exam with updated immunizations is required for all 6th-grade students. I must have the completed "blue" physical form on file prior to your child's last day of 6th grade. The blue State of Connecticut Health Assessment Form must be fully completed by your child's healthcare provider with all required 6th-grade immunization dates noted and attached. If your child has immunization exemption(s), I must have an updated form from your child’s healthcare provider. The front of the blue form is to be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Please return the completed blue form and immunization record to me as soon as possible and before the last day of this school year. Now is not too early to make an appointment with your child’s healthcare provider.

The lost and found is overflowing with a variety of items. If your student is missing items please encourage them to take a few minutes to look through the lost and found.

A Message about Walker Dismissal at LIS
Walkers dismissed through the cafeteria should remain on the sidewalk. Students cannot cross in front of the buses or other vehicles as they head down Plumb Hill Road and Constitution Way. Please know that this is a very important safety issue. If your student is a walker, please have a conversation with them about safety while walking out of the building.
