Quassy

Note: Free lunch (menu below) is available in the Fieldside Pavillion & Quassy Restaurant.

In July of 2022, the State of Connecticut legislature created an annual Get Outside and Play for Children's Mental Health Day to raise awareness about issues relating to children's mental health and the positive effect that being outdoors has on children's mental health and wellness.  The K-12 students and staff of the Litchfield and RSD6 school districts will be coming together on Tuesday, May 23 at Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury, to get outside and play.

The park has been reserved for our exclusive use from 9:30am - 1:30pm.  Bus transportation will be provided from schools to the park and back. Transportation times are being determined and will be posted here.  A rain date of Wednesday, May 24, 2023 has been scheduled.

Below, you will find all the information you need to know about our Get Outside and Play Day, including how parents can chaperone!

If you have questions regarding your child's participation on this day, please contact your child's principal.

Pre-k will be in session at the schools on this day and will have their own Get Outside and Play Day plans.
